The card collector's view

Sundin has multiple rookie cards from 1990-91, all heavy junk-wax print runs. The most desirable is the 1990-91 O-Pee-Chee Premier #114 — part of the OPC Premier set that hit $10/pack at peak. The 1990-91 Score #398 (American base + bilingual Canadian) and the 1990-91 Upper Deck #365 Super Rookie are the other key rookie chases. Modern Upper Deck SP Authentic, The Cup, and retrospective Maple Leafs sets offer signed memorabilia for the Sundin collection.

About Mats Sundin at FreshDCards

Mats Sundin is the Toronto Maple Leafs' all-time leading scorer and the first European-born and -trained player ever drafted first overall (Quebec, 1989). He moved to Toronto in 1994 in a trade for Wendel Clark and spent 13 seasons as the franchise's captain and offensive engine, scoring 564 career goals and 1,349 career points. He never won a Stanley Cup despite multiple deep Leafs playoff runs. 2006 Olympic gold medalist with Sweden in Turin. Quietly retired in 2009; the Leafs raised his banner to the ACC rafters in 2012.
