About Joe Greene at FreshDCards

Mean Joe Greene was the first player Chuck Noll drafted in Pittsburgh, the cornerstone of the Steel Curtain, and the foundation of the NFL’s defining 1970s dynasty. Across 13 seasons he won four Super Bowls (IX, X, XIII, XIV), made 10 Pro Bowls, and was a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year (1972, 1974). The Steel Curtain held Minnesota to six points in Super Bowl IX and shut Dallas down twice more. Hall of Fame first ballot in 1987, jersey #75 retired by the Steelers.
