Isiah's rookie is the 1981-82 Topps #E101 RC, one of the more affordable HOF point-guard rookies on the market. The card lives in the same vintage tier as Magic's '81 and remains a fair entry point for the Bad Boys era. The 1986-87 Fleer #109 is an iconic non-rookie chase from the holy-grail set. Star Company issues from the early 1980s require grading caution. Modern Panini Pistons-legends inserts pair well with Joe Dumars and Dennis Rodman pieces.

Isiah Thomas led the Detroit Pistons to back-to-back championships in 1989 and 1990, playing thirteen seasons in one city with a physicality that defined an era and forced the league to change its rules. The 1988 Finals against the Lakers produced one of basketball's defining performances—43 points in Game 6 on a badly sprained ankle. 1990 Finals MVP, twelve All-Star nods, two-time All-Star Game MVP. He retired with 9,061 career assists, then went on to coach, executive, and broadcast. Pure point guard, full stop.
