The card collector's view

Hakeem's defining rookie card is the 1986-87 Fleer #82 RC—part of the holy-grail 1986-87 Fleer set alongside Jordan, Barkley, and Ewing. PSA-graded copies are among the most actively collected vintage basketball cards. The companion 1986-87 Fleer Sticker #5 RC is the secondary chase. Early 1984-85 Star Company issues exist but live in the gray-market category outside major grading consensus. Modern Panini retired-legends inserts feature Hakeem in classic Rockets red-and-white throughout.

Hakeem Olajuwon won back-to-back titles in 1994 and 1995 by dismantling Patrick Ewing and Shaquille O'Neal in consecutive Finals—then went on to teach Kobe and LeBron the post moves they used for the next two decades.
