The card collector's view

1984 Topps #280 is Dickerson’s flagship rookie card and the most-chased Rams running-back rookie of the 1980s. The 1984 Topps USA Olympic football issue and the 1985 Topps flagship card from his record-breaking season anchor the rest of the vintage pieces. For premium collectors, his Panini National Treasures patch-autographs and 2,105-season Rams jersey relics anchor any Los Angeles collection.

About Eric Dickerson at FreshDCards

Eric Dickerson ran for 2,105 yards in 1984, still the NFL single-season rushing record more than four decades later. The Rams’ second overall pick in 1983 led the NFL in rushing four times, made six Pro Bowls in his first seven seasons, and retired with 13,259 career yards — second all-time behind only Walter Payton at the time. He spent five and a half years in Los Angeles before a 1987 trade to Indianapolis, and entered the Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 1999.
