About Ed Reed at FreshDCards

Ed Reed read quarterbacks like a defensive coordinator playing free safety. From 2002 through 2012 the Ravens turned him loose, and he answered with 64 interceptions, two of them returned for the longest INT-TDs in NFL history (106 and 107 yards). He won 2004 Defensive Player of the Year, Super Bowl XLVII to close out his Baltimore tenure, and led the league in interceptions three times. Nine Pro Bowls, five First-Team All-Pros, and the rare safety who could change a playoff game with one route jump.
