1957-58 Topps #77 is Russell’s flagship rookie card — one of the rarest and most chased pre-1970 basketball cards in existence, and a true white-whale piece for any vintage Celtics or NBA collection. Bill Russell won 11 NBA championships in 13 seasons with the Celtics — the most by any player in any major North American team sport. He was a five-time MVP, a 12-time All-Star, and the engine of the most dominant dynasty professional sports has produced. He won eight straight titles (1959–1966), became the NBA’s first Black head coach in 1966 (as a player-coach), and won two more rings as his own coach. Hall of Fame in 1975.
