Jerry Rice (WR, 1985-2000) (Hall of Fame)

Jerry Rice spent sixteen seasons as a San Francisco 49er, playing wide receiver from 1985 to 2000 and redefining what the position could look like at the highest level of the game. His combination of route-running precision, sure hands, and relentless work ethic made him the standard by which all receivers have since been measured. Induction into the franchise Hall of Fame was the perfect way to cement his place as the greatest to ever wear a 49ers uniform.

Steve Young (QB, 1987-1999) (Hall of Fame)

Steve Young stepped into one of the most difficult situations imaginable when he took over at quarterback for the 49ers from 1987 to 1999, following a legend, and somehow made the role entirely his own. His rare combination of arm talent and scrambling ability kept defenses guessing and kept fans on the edge of their seats season after season. His induction into the 49ers Hall of Fame honored a career that stood brilliantly on its own terms.
