The card collector's view

Forsberg's only true rookie card is the 1991-92 Upper Deck #64 Draft Choice — issued the season Forsberg was drafted, three full years before his NHL debut. No other major manufacturer included him in 1991-92, making this the only mainstream Forsberg rookie. Junk-wax-era print runs keep raw copies affordable; PSA 10s carry the premium. Upper Deck SP Authentic, The Cup, and retrospective Avalanche releases from 1995-2011 offer signed and patch options for the Foppa collection.

About Peter Forsberg at FreshDCards

Peter Forsberg is Foppa — the Swedish center who arrived in Colorado from the Lindros trade and made the Avalanche championship contenders within months. 1995 Calder Trophy. Two Stanley Cups (1996, 2001). The 2003 Hart and Art Ross double. Two Olympic golds with Sweden (1994 Lillehammer, 2006 Turin), the first immortalized on a Swedish postage stamp for the shootout goal that won gold over Canada. He played only 708 NHL games before injuries forced him out at 33, with a career points-per-game pace inside the all-time top 10.
