On May 6, 1925, Everett Scott’s streak of 1,307 games played comes to an end. The Yankee shortstop is replaced in the lineup by “Pee Wee” Wanninger. Scott’s streak, the longest in major league history, will eventually be broken by his teammate – Lou Gehrig.
