On March 24, 1933 — Babe Ruth, another victim of the Great Depression, takes a pay cut of $23,000 from his previous salary of $75,000. The 38 year old had slowed down a bit only hitting 33 homeruns, with a 1.026 OPS and 176 OPS+. Ruth also lead the league in walks with 114 for the last time.
