Tommy Lasorda, pitching for the Schenectady Blue Jays in the Canadian-American Association, struck out 25 batters in a complete-game 15-inning victory, setting a league record. Lasorda also delivered the game-winning hit in the 6-5 victory over the Amsterdam Rugmakers.
