The Brooklyn Dodgers defeated the Philadelphia Athletics 4-2 in the inaugural Spring Training game at Holman Stadium on March 11, 1953. Carl Erskine started the game, with Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese, and Roy Campanella also playing.
