Former Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Mike Piazza was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on his fourth year of eligibility, receiving votes on 83% of ballots. The 12-time All-Star and National League Rookie of the Year with the Dodgers became the 48th player with ties to the franchise to be enshrined in Cooperstown.
