February 13 in Dodgers History: Hideo Nomo signed to Minor League contract by Los Angeles Dodgers (1995)

The Los Angeles Dodgers signed Japanese pitcher Hideo Nomo to a Minor League contract with a $2 million signing bonus. Nomo would go on to make his MLB debut later that season and become the first Japanese-born pitcher to appear in an MLB game since 1965.
