Football is back. The Washington Commanders open 2026 training camp at the BigBear.ai Performance Center in Ashburn, Virginia, and for the fifth straight summer the team is throwing the gates open to fans. Between August 1 and August 19 there are eleven open practices on the calendar, and the best part is the price: admission is free. When and where camp opens
- Venue: BigBear.ai Performance Center, the team's football operations headquarters in Ashburn, Virginia.
- Camp window: open practices run from Friday, August 1 through Wednesday, August 19.
- First public practice: Saturday, August 1, tied to the NFL's Back Together Weekend.
- Practice time: every session starts at 8:30 a.m. ET, with gates opening at 7:30 a.m.
2026 open practice schedule
Eleven practices are open in all: five are open to every fan, and six are reserved for season ticket members. Here is the full slate (all at 8:30 a.m. ET):
- Saturday, August 1 (open to all fans): Back Together Weekend, with a Kids Zone, Washington Legends meet-and-greets, Command Force, Major Tuddy, and giveaways.

Tickets, parking, and what to know
- Free admission: tickets cost nothing. Claim them at Commanders.com/TrainingCamp.
- On sale: tickets opened Tuesday, June 23 at 10:00 a.m., available while supplies last.
- Limits: general admission fans can claim up to six tickets and one parking pass for a single day of camp.
- Parking: on-site at the facility, and every car needs a parking pass, so grab yours when you claim tickets.
- Start early: gates open at 7:30 a.m. for an 8:30 a.m. practice, so plan for the morning.

- vs. Miami Dolphins: Washington hosts the Dolphins in Ashburn on August 12, ahead of the preseason home opener.
- at Baltimore Ravens: the team travels to Owings Mills, Maryland to practice against the Ravens on August 26.
