The Colorado Rockies are immortalizing their greatest player. On August 23, 2026, the franchise will unveil a Larry Walker statue at Coors Field, honoring the 1997 NL MVP and the first Rockie ever inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
It is a fitting tribute. Walker won three batting titles and seven Gold Gloves in Colorado, retired a .313 career hitter, and reached Cooperstown in 2020. He remains the most decorated position player in Rockies history.
Fans heading to Coors Field that day, or watching from home, will get to celebrate a true franchise icon. It is also a great time to add a Larry Walker plaque to the wall.
