Rays to Retire Evan Longoria's No. 3 and Induct Him Into the Team Hall of Fame

The Tampa Bay Rays are giving Evan Longoria the sendoff a franchise icon deserves. Over Longo's Legacy Weekend, July 11 to 12, 2026, the Rays will induct Longoria into the team Hall of Fame and retire his No. 3, making it one of the very few numbers the franchise has ever taken out of circulation.

It is a fitting tribute. Longoria spent his first ten seasons in Tampa Bay, became the face of the franchise, and delivered its defining moments, from the 2008 pennant run to his unforgettable Game 162 walk-off in 2011. He still tops the Rays record book in most major categories.

Fans heading to the ballpark that weekend, or watching from home, will get to celebrate the player most synonymous with Rays baseball. For collectors and longtime fans, it is also the perfect moment to add a Longoria plaque to the wall.
