June 24 in Yankees History: Yankees win 22-inning, 7-hour marathon (1962)

The Yankees outlasted the Tigers 9-7 in 22 innings at Tiger Stadium, then the longest game by time in MLB history at seven hours. Jack Reed hit the decisive two-run homer in the 22nd, while Yogi Berra caught all 316 Yankees pitches.
