No franchise has won more Super Bowls than the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose six Lombardi Trophies were built on the legendary Steel Curtain defense and a tradition of physical, blue-collar football. Ranking the greatest Pittsburgh Steelers players of all time means weighing a roster of Hall of Famers from the 1970s dynasty alongside the modern stars who kept the standard intact. Here is our ranked list of the legends who forged Pittsburgh's championship identity.

2. Terry Bradshaw (QB · 1970-1983)
The triggerman of the dynasty, Bradshaw won four Super Bowls and was named MVP of two of them. A fearless deep-ball passer who rose to the moment, he led the only quarterback to win four titles in a six-year span at the time. The 1978 NFL MVP is enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
3. Jack Lambert (LB · 1974-1984)
The snarling, gap-toothed heart of the Steel Curtain, Lambert was the 1976 Defensive Player of the Year and a nine-time Pro Bowler. He won four Super Bowls and combined ferocious hitting with the range to drop into coverage. The Hall of Fame middle linebacker embodied Pittsburgh toughness.
4. Mel Blount (CB · 1970-1983)
So dominant that the NFL changed its contact rules because of him, Blount was the 1975 Defensive Player of the Year. He intercepted 57 passes, still a franchise record, and won four Super Bowls. The physical, prototype cornerback was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1989.
