The card collector's view

Robinson's rookie card is the 1973-74 O-Pee-Chee #237 — the most valuable card in the 1973-74 OPC set, with light-back and dark-back variants. Topps did not include Robinson in their 1973-74 set, making the OPC version the only mainstream rookie. O-Pee-Chee and Topps releases from 1974-92 cover his entire Canadiens and Kings career. Modern Upper Deck retrospective and Parkhurst Champions sets offer signed memorabilia for the Big Bird collection.

About Larry Robinson at FreshDCards

Larry Robinson is Big Bird — the 6-foot-4 defenseman who anchored the Canadiens' late-70s dynasty alongside Serge Savard and Guy Lapointe in the legendary 'Big Three.' Six Stanley Cups with Montreal (1973, 1976-1979, 1986). Two Norris Trophies. The 1978 Conn Smythe Trophy. He finished his career with three seasons in Los Angeles and never finished a season with a minus rating in 20 NHL years — a record that should age forever. Won another Cup as coach of the Devils in 2000.
